This exhibition shows the faces of those actors who, in Russia, have been prepared in a multiplicity of areas, who in a particular way, have outlined the way to places beyond our planet, and those who have been participants and immediate witnesses of these new scenarios, your possibilities, and of course, Her beauty.

The Russian people are an immediate reference when talking about the history of man in the Cosmos. The imagination, the inventiveness and tireless work of thousands of people through the centuries, took the first traveler into outer space: the Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin.

Daniela Oliveros Miranda, Visual Arts student at the UNAM Faculty of Arts and Design, presented the exhibition “The Cosmos and the imaginary Russian” during the day for Cosmonautics Day, organized by the Mexican Space Agency, in the Spain Cultural Center in Mexico City.

"After studying at the Faculty of Sciences UNAM, and come from an upper middle school art education, I came to the conclusion that art and science, Instead of being completely opposite disciplines, They can create a unique synergy.

The theoretical foundation of science that is, applied in a practical way to some sort of artistic argument can give more of themselves than if you just let the art aesthetic or empirical part. Although it might initially think that science is something totally serious and rigid, creativity is an essential element for creating models, theories, to conceive new possibilities and to find the answers resulting from inquire into the imaginary ".

In the presence of representatives of various means of popularizing science, Embassy of the Russian Federation and scientific circles in Mexico, the day for the Day of Cosmonautics attracted the attention of many young, who could appreciate the work within the framework of lectures and talks with senior scholars.

Daniela has been part of workshops with artists like the painter Masha Vinogradova, graduated from the Repin Academy of St. Petersburg; Sebastian and Matias Carbajal sculptor in Sebastian Foundation, and Drawing Workshop of the National Museum of Art.
