Soviet&Co: Back to the USSR in Mexico City
Olga, Margarita and Maya were born in the region of Karelia, Russia. The songs, the atmosphere of home and, mainly, home flavors characterize his young business in Mexico City: the Soviet restaurant&Co.
In the corner of Insurgentes Avenue and Celaya is a local shy whose sober exterior welcomes us to a sudden atmosphere which few have known precedents, beyond the films or photographs of that nation to the name of this restaurant alludes.
Soviet&Co is the result of hard work of three enterprising Russian girls in Mexico City, a restaurant that was created by them, from the smallest detail in the decoration, to each recipe menu, the concept, and personalized attention.
“The idea of this business was to introduce the traditions and cuisine, not only Russia, but Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and even a bit of Turkey; in general, in the region covering Soviet territory”, We talked Olga Voronoba, one of the founding members and Restaurant.
The intention of the Soviet restaurant&Co is to move you through the senses to those nostalgic times to refer patriotic songs with a romantic touch, the aroma of hot soup, palettes warm and sober colors, and gentle intoxication of a shot of vodka at the end of a good meal.
We shared an episode of Russian hospitality through its culture in our city.
