Tchaikovsky's legacy leaves its mark on Mexico

Sergio Viñals Padilla, Director of Telecommunications of the Federal Government; Victoria Stasiuk, director of Russkiy Dom A.C. Mexico; and Sergio Mayer, Chairman of the Committee on Culture of the Chamber of Deputies.

Mr. andrey Pakhomov, Counselor of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Mexico, and representative of the Rossotrudnichestvo Agency, He stressed the importance of this festival in terms of our diplomatic relations: “We realize that culture plays a leading role in relationships, I think we should try to know each other more and more”.

A wide variety of instruments, voices and dances around the work of Tchaikovsky delighted and moved the large audience at the Museum of the Telegraph, headquarters built by the Italian architect Silvio Contri, at the beginning of the twentieth century. This property is part of Telecomunicaciones de Mexico, and seeks to position itself as a cultural reference in the City of Mexico.

The famous pianist Vladimir Petrov, who grew up in Mexico and is now studying in Moscow, He was present every day of the Festival and accompanied several of his compatriots in different program numbers. By Anna Sokolova (flute) he played three fragments of the ballet The Nutcracker.
